You’re the one they can count on to always come home again.
Hawai'i's Kōlea seabird emanates a confidence and loyalty that come from a deep connection to her home base.
Thinking about home keeps you grounded, too. But your willingness to explore new horizons is at the heart of what makes you you.
The Kōlea Women’s Slipper honors that spirit ― with artist-designed graphics that capture the playfulness you bring to your everyday life.
Feel close to home wherever you go with the Kōlea Women’s Slipper from Kaka'ako Kasuals.
From the artist, Bethany Georges:
"The Kōlea sea bird was my main inspiration behind this piece and is the mascot of the Kaka'ako Kasuals brand and I wanted to pay tribute to the deeper meaning behind their logo. The Kōlea is a seasonally migratory native bird that symbolically represents not only locals who may leave the islands and find themselves returning home, but also tourists who visit for the first time and keep returning to the home they find within themselves while they are here. The plumeria and hibiscus represent what is most memorable about our island hospitality, and the rainbow is inspired by our more lush areas and valleys which nourish the land. The colors of the rainbow are also meant to inspire a playfulness and inner happiness."
